The Cefiro Look Alike Iswara

The Cefiro Look Alike Iswara

Not everything needs to make sense to make an impression.

A Malaysian classic, reinterpreted with an unorthodox approach. This Proton Saga Iswara 1.3 carries a Cefiro-inspired exterior, an uncompromising stance, and a silhouette that sits far outside the conventions of its original design.

An unlikely combination, perhaps. But that's what makes it interesting.

The Iswara has always been part of Malaysia's automotive identity. Once an everyday commuter, now a canvas for a completely different aesthetic. Sitting remarkably close to the ground, this example wears its aggressive fitment with conviction. Deep-dish wheels, pronounced bodywork, and a low-slung profile give the car a presence that speaks before the engine even starts.

Friday night. The streets surrounding Plan B, Ipoh. Old shophouses, narrow lanes, suspended lanterns, and the distinctive glow of the city after hours.

We brought the Iswara into this setting for a series of static portraits before taking the session onto the streets for rolling shots. Under the scattered city lights, the white bodywork picked up fragments of blue and amber. At the rear, glowing taillights painted the pavement in red.

The contrast was almost cinematic.A familiar Malaysian machine, sitting unusually low against the architecture of old Ipoh. No elaborate set. No artificial backdrop. Just the car, the city, and the atmosphere between them.
